Cut three pieces of cotton fabric of medium thickness 8.5 inches x 9 inches
Cut two pieces of fabric to make the ribbon 30 inches x 2 inches
Stitch the three layers together with three stitches across the length as shown - also fold the hem of the fabric in at the top and bottom and stitch them to close
Stitch the vertical sides of the fabric and trim to cut any loose threads
Fold the fabric twice
and again stitch the vertical sides to hold the folds in place
Cut the sides to remove any loose threads remaining
Fold the ribbon double on both long sides and stitch neatly
Attach the ribbon to the vertical sides of the face cover as shown making sure that cover is the center of the length of the ribbon
