eCoexist curates a range of different virtual and physical experiences, to help people reconnect with Nature. It is only when we experience a deep inner connect to the living world around us that we are inspired to protect and conserve this magnificent planet and its diversity of life. The eCoexist experiences include days out in the wilderness, interactions with animals and hands on activities to do it yourself . We believe that it is not how many experiences that you have in Nature that transform you but how deeply these experiences impact your being and how you integrate them into your daily living that truly make a shift in perception.
While the range of eco and agro tourism possibilities have grown in the last decades, eCoexist aims to combine a level of reflection in these sojourns outdoors, and help people process and appreciate their time in Nature. Taking small groups of people to visit forests, eCoexist offers learning activities with each outdoors experience.
Gardening / Farming
Learning to grow and care for plants is one of the best ways to tune into the cycles of Nature. By learning to grow, we are able to stay connected to the constant flow of the life energy and also to accept the cycles of birth and death. We offer several opportunities to experience this - from planting medicinal plants to volunteering on an organic farm.
Healing with Animals
The relationships between humans and animals can provide solace and healing to both. Urban children do not have opportunities for close interactions with animals unless they own pets. We curate experiences where children ( and adults ) can interact with animals in a safe environment and learn to overcome their fear and open up to each other.
Interactions with Village women
Many women from the lower income groups are organised in self help groups that save money together through a system of micro credit. Although this helps them a lot with management of money, many of them are also looking for ways to earn an income from home. eCoexist has been steadily reaching out to such SHGs in Pune and in other cities of Maharashtra. We do a range of trainings and projects with these women, mostly using their sewing abilities. Interact with our women to understand their village set up, the social framework they work within and the changing perception of women in semi rural areas.
Do It Yourself
Self Reliance is an important aspect of sustainability - if each individual is capable of creating their own food, clothing and shelter , our need for industry is reduced. Even if this seems impossible to achieve, the more we learn to do with our own hands , the more self reliant we can be. This series of demonstrations , and courses will encourage self reliance.
Art in Nature
The beauty of Nature is transformative - it comes from a deep integrity to the physical and biological forces of life. Through art humans try to recreate this beauty and in doing so, they are able to connect with the energies of Nature . Through our Art in Nature experiences, we help you to learn to observe keenly, to absorb and integrate these forces and enter the creative process with Nature .
