The Rang Dulaar project has recently (Dec 2006) included work with the womens cell of the Yerawada prison. The packaging of all the colours for the season of Holi 2007 is being done by the women.
Prisoners in the Yerawada jail are given an opportunity to earn and save some money during their time there by the prison administration. This enables women to work towards returning any fines that they made need to pay as part of their sentence. The prison administration has been looking for skilled and unskilled work for the prisoners and eCoexist intends to create work for the prison by involving them in the manufacturning and processing of our products.
